Blow Out Prices at Bealls!

Bealls!  My how I have come to love this store. Today I went with my Mother-In-Law to the Bealls in Riverview, Fl while out and about. The big red banner caught our eye! Elizabeth [Mother-In-Law] saw CLEARANCE SALE printed proudly and boldly on the massive attention grabber and she was in there! While I had no real high expectations for the bargain I relented as we pulled into a parking spot a little to close the the truck in the next spot for my taste. I was a little put of that the cart did not have a child seat, but I figured they must have been lurking around somewhere. I'll get back to that! Well, at first it was a let down because the racks that were supposed to be the eye catchers as you waltzed in the store were almost bare and completely out of my daughter's size. That is besides the point though. Have no fear though, I found their hiding spot for the deals! The store put almost all of their clearance items in the back left corner of the store. Every size gender and style were accounted for in this selection of clothing. The deals were fantastic. Not only did the percentages off reach to 70% ,but also on top of that you get 40% more off. How can you beat that! It was as if you were shopping in a consignment shop except the fact all of these clothes and accessories were brand new top of the line! That is what I call a bargain. I am not sure if this sale is localized or not but I would hurry in if you are in the Riverview/Brandon area of Florida. Now I would like to share a few of the deals I found while browsing through the merchandise at Bealls.

I was shopping for my 2 year old daughter. I managed to find a Disney Tinkerbell 2 pieces pajama set. The original price mark on this was $28.00. With it being 70% off it immediately went down to a whopping $8.40! That is a very decent price but take it one step further with the additional 40% off and that puts us at a total price of only 5 DOLLARS & 4 CENTS !! For a Disney branded pajama set.

I now want to move on to another great purchase of mine today. In the Men's department I came across a Dockers jacket priced at $100.00. Yes, that is correct, the original price on this lovely piece of fabric was a huge one hundred dollars. 70% BOOM, now $30.00. Additional 40% makes the $100.00 jackets final price to be 18 DOLLARS!

At the store today my final price for my items was $44.94. I am proud to say that my total savings today was a good $177.98 :D. This is the sale of a year for this store. So, go into your Bealls Department Store and get your savings!!

Joni's Closet Adventure

A little Extreme, But possibly Needed
Tuesday, January 18th 2011. This has been a day! I can not even begin to gather my thoughts at this moment. Which is why, I guess, I've decided to blog. First thing this morning I had to get rudely awaken by my 2 year old daughter being well... a two year old. She has recently learned how to turn the knob and open the door. This is a problem because she has a walk in closet inside of her bedroom. So, she normally starts to cry for me to get her up in the morning at around 8 or 8:30 am. But, today I found out that I got to sleep in for two hours when I awoke to her crying at ten! This was unusual for her and when I entered her room I found out why. She has been up and browsing around in her closet finding whatever it is she felt like playing with while I was asleep! I was upset to find this in the morning but I couldn't yell at her for it. I wasn't even awake when she got into the closet and when I went into her bedroom she wasn't in it. So, I just told her that was not a good thing for her to do and later my husband took the knob off altogether. That was a good idea until I walked in the closet to put a few items away and she promptly came in a closed us both in there with no knob! My husband was there thank God or we would have had to bust down the door. Who knows how that would have taken with our strength. Ha ha! We will have to figure something out soon cause we are moving and in her new room there is no taking the knob off. It is a sliding closet door. Maybe they have locks at the store? Soon we will find out!

Megan's Big Barn!

The latest news to date is that Megan (my younger sister) wishes to make a 3-D barn! Of course the catch is that I will be paying for the supplies and doing the majority of the construction on this project. Ha! We took a trip to our local craft store today and boy was that interesting. We had an allotted time of 30mins in the store to get our items, check out, and make it home on time. Well, that did not happen. It is decided that we should not go to that store in the future unless we have no other plans for that particular day. While there, we picked out a big square for the base of our barn. She will decorate this to her liking. Also, we purchased 3 wooden rectangle shaped boards for the back and side walls of the barn, and 2 more of those sized boards to make a roof for our barn. Megan wanted to put animal pins in the barn to make it more real looking. When we looked closer in the wooden craft section we found these adorable miniature fence. Deciding that those were perfect, we threw 4 packs into the basket! Then, we realized duh! We needed some animals to put in the pins we were going to be making. For the life of me I could not find any little barn animal figurines. After a good 15 minutes of searching, we figured it would probably be a good idea to ask a store sales associate for some help. The thing is, he had not the slightest clue where this item might be specifically. Have no fear though! He pointed us toward the Kids Crafting isle and low and behold we find a tube of assorted barn animals packed neatly into a tube labeled "Down on the Farm". Clever. (: We had all of our items, so we headed for the cash registers to deal out the dough. What's ironic is that the cashier we chose just happened to have grown up on an actual Farm! So, Megan got to hear about milking cows and such at 5 in the morning. Finally, we headed toward the car and got going down the road with all our goods! Now all we have to do is actually put this thing together (: !
